Translating Sound into Motion
Lyric Video Studies
Lyric Video Studies
This series brings together three lyric video projects developed across different stages of my practice.
Each piece explores a distinct approach to motion storytelling, translating sound into visual form through rhythm, composition, and narrative structure.
From handcrafted animation to AI-assisted production, the process evolves, while the intention remains constant: building a visual language that responds to music with clarity and emotion.

Style I
Handcrafted Animation
This project represents a fully manual animation process, where each frame was illustrated and composed digitally. The visual narrative was built from the ground up, focusing on rhythm, transitions, and scene continuity.
This approach allowed for complete control over timing and composition, resulting in a piece where motion directly responds to the structure of the music.
style II
Illustrated Motion Direction
This piece introduces a more structured approach to motion, combining original illustration with defined scene composition and pacing.
The focus shifts toward building cohesive visual sequences, where each moment contributes to a broader narrative flow. The direction emphasizes balance between visual consistency and musical progression.
style III
AI-Assisted Visual Storytelling
This project explores the integration of AI tools within the animation workflow. While the visual generation was supported by AI, the concept, storyboarding, and motion direction remained fully guided by a human-led creative process.
The objective was to experiment with new production methods while maintaining control over storytelling, pacing, and visual coherence.
Reflection
Across these projects, the tools and techniques evolve, but the core approach remains unchanged, translating music into visual experiences through intentional storytelling, rhythm, and design.
This series reflects an ongoing exploration of how motion can shape perception, emotion, and narrative within digital media.
